About the Treatment
ResurFX™ is a non-ablative fractional laser skin resurfacing treatment designed to improve skin texture, tone, and overall clarity with minimal downtime. By delivering controlled laser energy deep into the dermis while leaving the skin’s surface intact, ResurFX stimulates natural collagen production and skin renewal.
This treatment helps visibly reduce fine lines, acne scars, sun damage, enlarged pores, and uneven pigmentation, resulting in smoother, firmer, more radiant-looking skin over time. A series of treatments may be recommended depending on your skin concerns and desired results.
What to Expect
During treatment, a cooling gel is applied to the skin and the ResurFX handpiece is passed across the treatment area in precise patterns. Patients typically feel mild warmth, tingling, or a light prickling sensation.
Sessions usually take about 30–45 minutes depending on the area treated. Following treatment, temporary redness and mild swelling similar to a sunburn may occur and typically resolves within a few days. Most patients resume normal activities quickly with minimal downtime.
How to Prepare
To ensure safe and effective treatment:
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 2 weeks prior
- Discontinue retinoids, exfoliants, and active skincare 7 days before treatment
- Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin
- Inform your provider of any recent skin treatments or procedures
